• I bought mine on the Best Buy web site and took delivery at the store. I believe you can also have it delivered to your home. No strings attached to Verizon or anyone. It is wifi only. I believe I purchased the 2 year extended warranty also.

• You don't need any provider for this iPad. I connect to my wireless router for internet access, can then do just about what can be done with my computer Skype, email, download books, surf, etc
