QuestionI have a zenpad 8 model. Z380KL, does this model have phone ability, as this is my principal use

- Answer I downloaded the app TextmeNow and I'm able to send and receive telephone calls and my tablet has it's own number, and I'm able to send and receive text messages. I think there may be a trial period and after that it's $2.99 a month or $29 a year. You have to use your Bluetooth or earphones when talking on your tablet and you also have to be connected to Wifi. The downside is that your tablet can't be in sleep mode or you won't receive your phone calls, but you can retrieve voice messages. Hope this helps! :)

- Answer It's an independent gps that does not require wifi. I use it with the navionics app on my boat.

- Answer Yes, I just checked it - it supports USB OTG. I have a USB OTG cable (cheap on ebay) and connected a USB drive to the tablet with it, and read the files on it. It even plays video from the thumb drive with no problem. FYI, you can always check to see if an Android device supports USB OTG by getting a small app from the Google Play store and installing it on the device. Look up "Easy OTG Checker".

QuestionI thought this tablet was only available with a Verizon contract. Is this a wifi version only with no contract needed? And is it available now?

- Answer Yes, you use the USB port to charge the tablet just like a phone - or you can use the USB cable to connect the tablet to your home or office PC to transfer files. It also has a MicroSD slot on the back of the tablet under the battery cover. It's a great device, you will love it!

- Answer No, it only allows transfer and saving of media files such as photos and videos. Can not move or install applications to the SD Card.
