So far we are both happy with the unit. First Android Unit I bought so I can't compare it to anything else. Very reliable and clear easy to read gorilla glass screen. Not familiar enough with Google Play Apps to know if I can store apps for offline use in the expandable flash memory. If Wifi fast enough you can use dropbox to store your files and photos. Easy to restore factory settings to clear personal info, if you want to gift the unit after verifying that everything works well. ASUS was very cooperative about transferring warranty to the gifted user. ASUS was also very cooperative about answering other questions and responded in less than 24 hours. If you buy one, scan in the shipping box cover or save it. It contains the model and serial number which is necessary when dealing with ASUS customer service. Also bought the Insignia 8" tablet cover, about $20, which also serves as a stand for viewing movies and the like. Bottom line, it's a great buy for the money. Loved the ZenPad so much, am thinking about buying a second one for myself for convenience and as a backup to my Toshiba laptop which is about 5 years old and has been very reliable, but one never knows. The quality of the Zenpad for the price will cause me to seriously think about buying an ASUS 17' laptop in the future. Hope this helps.
