“I have a HitronCoda425 modem from Fido using Rogers lines. Can I connect only 1 of these mesh routers to the modem and have the modem on 1 floor, and only 1 mesh router on another floor? Is this a good idea? I have a 3 floor house.”

• Yes, you can do it, but why…. You could still use the modem and the ASUS at the same time for more coverage. I would disable dhcp on the ASUS so the modem could give out all of the iP addresses.

• Yes, that is a good setup, one of the device can be connected to a Roger modem/gateway and the other XT8 device on another floor.
