• Mine is connected to a standard landline provided by Verizon as part of my Fios service package which does have a modem for television and internet service. The phone is connected to the standard wall telephone connection type of wall plate. I'm not sure whether or not the modem transmits telephone calls through the existing telephone wiring in the walls. You might want to ask your current provider of home telephone service.
