Wire from wall must have a connector (RJ11 plugin type). This connector plugs into socket on phone base. Phone then can be attached to wall (using the usual metal wall plate - if you don't have one, they are available from most phone suppliers (hint: take your phone into shop to be sure you get one that fits phone. Plate attaches to wall with (usually included)) drywall screws.
