This phone has both an audio assist button which temporarily increases the handset volume. We do not wear hearing aids but have used the easily accessed audio assist button to increase volume. It also has an "equalizer" button. Again easily accessible. This can alter bass or treble or set to natural mode. We've left ours set at natural but I presume if you have difficulty hearing certain sound ranges this might be helpful to you. We are very happy with this landline phone. Good price. Easy setup for speed dial; large tiltable lighted caller ID screen; oversized keypad for arthritic fingers. I can not think of any downside. No experience with hearing aid use however.

The volume of the ring can be adjusted up or down and if the speaker phone is used, the volume of the speaker phone can be adjusted up or down. My suggestion would be to contact CapTel and see if they have something that would help you. I purchased one for my father several years ago and the captioning works great for him. Their number is 800-233-9130. You can also view their products on their web-site. Hope this helps.
