• Only the actual base hooked to the phone line needs the filter.

• Just one filter. The other bases are cordless and not plugged in to the phone line.

• Only the main base needs a filter as the other bases only need an outlet plug for electricity to charge.

• Only the main base gets plugged in, so I would guess you only need one. You may want to look up the instructions to be certain.

• The additional handsets just plug in so no filters needed on those.
