“We bought this system yesterday, after three rings (even when set to 5) whoever is calling gets dead air. No announcement. Does anyone here encountered this? We like the phones but will have to go back if can't fix it. Thanks”

Set mine for 5 rings...it only does 2...and for some reason it then rings twice on my cell phone...huh? I hate this set, lots of buttons to push before doing anything! I'm debating returning it too.

I did and took it to a AT&T store and was out in 10 minutes. Unplug and take it all with you. Good Luck

Not sure if it's the same thing but my phone company offers voicemail and it was answering before the house phone had a chance to answer. Otherwise the phone has worked great for us.
