According to the manual, this system has a battery backup feature. In case of a power outage, if you have a fully charged handset on the base, the base will draw power from that handset to allow the system to continue to operate. That is until the power in the handset is depleted.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The base unit reqires power to transmit and do other functions so if you do not have power I dont believe it will transmit to the other handsets and all the handsets are wireless
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The base unit requires constant power thus in cases of power outages it will not work as such. However, an UPS, uninterruptible power supply, namely a battery with outlets charged by the utility company can continue to keep the base operating. The handsets are all battery operated and will continue until their individual batteries are dead.
