My land line comes off of my modum from comcast and the other phones that came with the box use high defination wireless connection to the base. By buying this system you also have the ability to use your cell phone too if it has blue tooth which most if not all cell phones now have.
A:AnswerNot really but it does have a mute button which allows you to talk with some one next to you without the person on the phone to hear what you are saying. If you have "call waiting" from your phone company, you can switch hook your phone to hold while you answer or make another telephone call and then switch hook back to your orginal person you were done talking with the new person and or if the new person stays on the line you can have a joint or conference call.
