QuestionI know the ring can be silent, but can you also silence the answering machine without turning it off?My husband has a home office and our home phone is in his office (no other choice). We can silence the ring, but then the voice mail comes over, which is annoying on a business call. We are looking for a phone that can have a silent ring and have the ability to take a message without us hearing it. Thanks!

- Answer If you have AT&T you can get that feature with your service and block calls but the phone alone doesn't block calls. AT&T has a new free feature called norobo it blocks calls that may be telemarketers or on the do not call registry I like it it's great.
