“I can’t use it, I don’t have a laptop. No one told me it is needed for set up even though I asked. Cell phones don’t update without WiFi, chrome book has no way to set it up, I tried an Ethernet adapter but it’s software is incompatibile. wasted my money.”

you should just need to call Att to have it set up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can set it up without a computer but your Chromebook should be able to do it as well. You need to connect to the wifi name on the Netgear's screen which will also show the password. Once connected, go to your Chromebook, phone or tablet's browser and type in 192.168.0.1 into the address bar. This will get you into the setup screen. You should be able to make whatever changes you need to make once connected.
