• Mine was paid in full, when I took to AT&T to set my account they took care of everything, have had no problems at all.

• I'm not sure. I believe you can but I was told that sometimes using another company's SIM doesn't work. I haven't tried it so I cannot say.

• Yep! Just go request an unlock code from https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/ It took them about 48 hours to get the unlock code to me. After that I was able to use it with Google Fi/T-Mobile.
