“What external devices can be used to power the unit? 120 volt/ 12 volt/ USB ???? My needs dictate leaving it on and unattended for maybe weeks at the time. I also read where it will go into sleep mode but wakes up when needed, is that true?”

I use a ups battery backup and remove the battery for long durations
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Runs off included battery and comes with charger. I leave mine on all the time and have removed the battery and just leave the charger plugged in and it works fine. Unit will go into sleep mode but you can change this setting to have it stay on. To wake up from sleep mode you have to press power button on the side of unit. Hope this helps.
