If you're moving it from one data only device to another, yes. The Nighthawk uses a micro-sim. If your current device has the larger SIM you can carefully cut the larger one to fit.

Sometimes SIM cards are set up to work with a specific device, so the service provider may need to adjust the settings for it to work with your new device. If the newer device has a different size SIM the service provider should (depending on who it is) give you a new sim card that works with the new device, since you are going to be using the same plan that you've been on. Works the same way as getting a new phone on a cellular plan.
