I’m not sure if that would be the best option for you. I’m not going to go as far as saying that you don’t need the expander but you should try going into the router’s settings and changing the option in the settings to broadcast your signal further. It uses up more battery and sometimes the device will get warm but it defiantly increases the signal strength.
