“How many mbps does this device stream? I work with large video files to download and upload and while I have A T and T internet at home....not very adequate for what I need to do. Would this device download upload video files at a faster speed?”

By design this is a very capable device. It will handle 1 Gbps Download and 150 Mbps upload. Having said that, so much depends on your unique environment. Where are you in relation to the cell towers; How many devices share those towers; What account you have with your provider. Try downloading one of the speed test apps to your cell phone and see if it gives you acceptable numbers.
