QuestionMy mom has a pre-paid "smart" phone. She wants to go back to a flip phone. She's in my account but she lives in Puerto Rico. If I send her a new prepaid Alcatel Flip, how does she swap phones over there and keep her current phone #?

- Answer I've used locked AT&T phones on H20 Wireless pay as you go plans, ($10/90 days) but the phones were activated with a new number. If the number is being ported in from elsewhere I'm not sure if the phone can be locked. Like AT&T phones on AT&T service the SIM can be swapped to another AT&T phone on H20 service. Sometimes the APN settings have to be updated manually because they don't come through automatically. The H20 website will have info about the APN settings so the data will work.

QuestionMy Alcatel phone doesn't display the voicemail icon. I set up the voicemail and when I call my voicemail I can listen to them however I don't want to have to do that every time someone calls. Any suggestions? Thanks!

- Answer Same problem, deleted contact storage, did a soft reset (remove battery), factory reset and none resolved the problem. Removed the SIM card and the contact app works again, put the SIM card back in problem returns. Either a corrupted contact database or problem with contact app accessing SIM storage. Will take to the Con Cellular store & see if it's my SIM card or the phone. Apparently this is a prevalent problem with the 4052 Alcatel phones.
