• You would have to do a unlock request for it to work outside of the u.s. and the company in europe has to be gsm in order for it to possibly work.

• I bought a SIM card in Ireland to use with it and never could get it to work but that could have been operator error. LOL Since I have a prepaid account, AT&T couldn't give me foreign access but from what I understood from them, anyone with a regular account can use it overseas as long as you notify your carrier. They will then program access for you. :)
