• This phone will work if power goes out as long as you have the batteries installed. But if your service is through cable and your cable goes out it probably won’t work

• The phone has Caller ID, Batteries are required, and it needs to be plugged into a phone outlet. Not sure about two lines, the phone was purchased as an extra phone with the same phone number.
