I bought this as a pre-paid at Best Buy and took it into AT&T store to put on my mobile share plan as post-paid. I had to pay for the activation, but the sim card was free and now it shares my cell phone's data plan. You will either need to call AT&T for them to send you a new sim card or go into a store. It took me maybe 15 minutes to complete. I don't use all my data so it rolls over every month. I took two iPad Pros off my account now that I can use them with this.

Contact AT&T for rates not sure if u can actually do that sonce this is prepaid device! But you might be able to simple get a sim card from them and insert it to this device if they allow it!
