“On my bill it says I have unlimited phone calls. Is this device capable of making a phone call or is that just the plan? That is if I put the card in my phone I could make phone calls?”

No this device only provides data! Although it has a phone number lonked to att its only used to identify itself as an account number. This only transmits data to wifi enabled devices
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The device is assigned a phone number because that's just the way it work's on the providers network. It is treated as such but cannot make calls, nor can the SIM card places in another device such as a phone.
