A:Answer I can't remember the exact amount, but it's a lot, like 110 or something. I bought 2 units to hold our dvd collection. Some of the dvds we own are complete series & some come in specialty packages. The great thing about this unit is you can adjust the shelves so you can accommodate the different sizes. This is a particle board kit. It's not solid wood, but if you have it secured to a wall it works great. It does take awhile to assemble the kit, but for the price it was what I expected. It would not hold up to kids climbing on it. For cd's or dvds it is perfect. It's a great organizer for the price. It's cheap, but it is decent for the price & it does hold dvd's. Hope this helps!
