“Will I be able to plug this into my computer or does it need an adapter?”

Yes you will, and it includes the adapter. If your computer has a dedicated MIC jack on it, just plug the mics cable into the jack. If your computer has a combo Mic/Headphone (headset) jack use the smartphone adapter that is included.
