Q: Questionwill it replace a Fisher ST-29D on a MT-35 turntable?
Asked by dave.
- A:Answer No, not unless you add a p-mount to half-inch adapter to it. The AT3482P is a p-mount (also known as plug-in or T4P) type cartridge. You can add an adapter to it for mounting to a standard half-inch type headshell which your turntable uses, or you could just get a Half-inch Mount type cartridge instead. Our half-inch Mount models will attach directly to your headshell without the use of an adapter. The benefit in going with a half-inch mount model could be an overall reduction of weight. Consider our AT91 Stereo Phono Cartridge for this turntable.

Q: QuestionCan this cartridge be used as a replacement for a Sony VL-5 cartridge?
Asked by ChuckP43.
- A:Answer Thank you for your inquiry. The Sony VL-5 appears to be a half inch mount, while this cartridge is a P mount cartridge. It is not a replacement. I cannot find any information about cartridge compliance for the Sony VL-5 cartridge, so I cannot recommend a replacement.

Q: QuestionDoes this come with the P-mount to headshell adapter? And does Audio Technica sell the carbon fiber cantilever spherical replacement needles for these separately, or will I have to buy an entire new cartridge later?
Asked by Reticuli.
- A:Answer It does not. The AT3482P is the p-mount ONLY version of the cartridge. You want the AT3482H/U which is the universal mount model. This is the same cartridge, but included with it is the headshell adapter.

Q: Questionwhat if I purchase this cartridge for for a 30 year old turntable and it doesn't work. Can I return it to Best buy? Thanks
Asked by Rizzo.
- A:Answer Sure you can. I have an older turntable and it works great. As long as you have a P-Mount you are good
