Sure, but it was designed more for factory installed systems that force audio signal processing. This removes that processed audio signal and sends a cleaned signal to your amplifier. In my case, i have a bose system in my srx and added an aftermarket subwoofer/amplifier. Whenever i would turn the volume up the bass would decrease drastically. This was intentional by bose to prevent users from blowing the factory subwoofer which also carried over to my aftermarket amp/sub. The LC2i solved this problem by eliminating the reduced bass processing and sending my amp a clean signal. Might be overkill for aftermarket stereos since you most likely will not be needing this feature and just using it as a DLC
