Just run the audio from the tv to the audio receiver and then use the audio receivers subwoofer port to connect the subwoofer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello Chris, A powered subwoofer will connect directly to an output on your AV receiver, it does not require a connection to your HDTV. Most all modern AV receivers will have what is called a "sub out" or sometimes referred to as an "LFE out." This will connect to a single cable, normally with RCA connections on both ends, that will go from the output on your receiver to the corresponding sub or LFE input on your subwoofer. An example of a cable you could use for this application would be the AudioQuest Irish Red cable. See the recommendation below.
