• I was having sync problems with voice as well when I had the older directv hr-24 receivers, once I upgraded to the directv genie 2 immediately my voice sync problems were resolved.

• A different HDMI cable is unlikely to fix this problem. It sounds like a "LipSync" issue, and probably requires a setting to be changed in either your BluRay player or TV.
