Yes you will need a cable of these specific capabilities to get the image in HDR not just SDR. Sony needs the cable in the HDMI 2 or HDMI 3

Please try again later.I think the Xbox X chord would be just as good, the cinnamon chord’s build quality might be stronger and more durable but when it comes to the picture I don’t believe it wouldn’t make much of a difference. The Xbox X supports 4K so at the price you’re paying for the system I don’t think they would throw in a cheap cord.

However, knowing the quality of some Xbox accessories I would always recommend buying your own quality HDMI cable. The console itself is outstanding quality but some of the accessories are where they cut costs. Hope this helps!
