• 4K refers to the picture only. Any of our HDMI cables will work fine on a soundbar, however all our HDMI cables are compatible with 4K anyway.

• The connection in your TV or receiver is what needs a specific HDMI version (4K). You don't need them for the soundbar.

• It depends on the soundbar.my Bose sound bar that I used to connect to my TV I use an optical audio cable that works perfect most sound bars have an optical audio cable.
