• Yes, you can! I plan to get a 4K TV in the near future, but right now I've hooked up my 4K High Res Blu Ray player to a 6 year old Toshiba HD flatscreen (using this cable) and it works just fine. Great, in fact. Of course you need a 4K TV to get the real benefit, but there is still a considerable increase in quality!
