No, this cable does not support the HDMI 2.1 standard. HDMI 2.1 requires support of 48 Gbps bandwidth, while this cable only supports 18 (HDMI 2.0). Look for a similar cable called the "Pearl 48".

I was told it was likely the HDMI cable I was using which was of medium quality. Besides being a good high speed cable, this new high speed cable also solved the flickering problem completely. I recommemd it!
