A:Answer Hello, this cable uses what we call semi-solid concentric packed conductors which is a type of stranded cable with thick strands that comes close to the performance of our solid conductor cable, but at a lower cost. For the Slip 16/2 cable, it is composed of 37 strands each for the positive and for the negative conductor. The metal is Long-Grain Copper (LGC), a premium grade of oxygen free copper. Both the positive and negative conductors have individual PVC insulation, and the outer PVC jacket is CL3 rated; there is no additional shielding.
