That's the idea of this cable- run one cable through the wall or ceiling and be able to connect your surround speakers or your front speakers...nice!

Yes u sure can, that is why I bought it. Makes for a much cleaner run of wires

Yes you can. Just cut the outer layer pull it back a little longer that you need. I personally like to gently putt the ends of the two wires in my drill to twist the wires together to make it easier to run from that point on. See attached pics
