Q: can i use the 4 connectors for 2 speakers?

A: That's the idea of this cable- run one cable through the wall or ceiling and be able to connect your surround speakers or your front speakers...nice!

Q: The photo depicts 4 colored strands (at least the 3 i see green, red, black) how is this speaker wire different from a typical 2 strand with only the positive and negative (red & black)

A: Hello, this cable is referred to as a 16/4 cable, meaning there are four conductors, labeled red, white, green and black, each 16-gauge overall. To connect this cable to your speaker, you would twist the red and white conductors together and connect to the positive speaker terminal and twist the green and black conductors together and connect them to the negative speaker terminal.

Q: What's the difference between this cable and the Audio Quest SLP16250? Also, can I connect my two rear speakers to my AVR with one spool of this cable?

A: Unfortunately you didn't say which version of the SLiP cable you have. SLP16250 is the part number for a 50 ft. spool of SLiP 16/2 - a 2 conductor, 16 awg speaker cable.
