• Yes you can and it's very easy and requires no tools. Just the quick release that you attach the lock with. It probably takes 5 minutes...Although I haven't had to change mine yet.

• Yes, the faceplate has a magnet so it is super easy to take off and put back on. There are 4 AA batteries inside.
