• Yes and no. To be able to use it with wifi you need the hub, But you can still use it without the hub. using the onboard Bluetooth. Which is great once you are connected since you can unlock the door and lock the door with the Bluetooth. Outside of the Bluetooth, you need the hub.

• Yes. The August Bridge connect allows you to use the connected device from anywhere. I use this with the August smart lock.
