“Is this lock truly "universal" made to work on ANY door? I have a SimpliSafe system. and I purchased their "universal" door lock. And it WOULD NOT fit my door lock. A 1999 built home with a 1999 door and lock and it WOULD NOT fit or work on door and lock.”

No its not, it has 3 adapters that will fit most doors, but not all. It didnt fit my schlage locks that were old 20 years old This product is is low quality do not waste money, always having connection issues. Mine stopped working after a month. Do not waste money on this lock
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have installed this lock on 3 different doors and 3 different home (moms, sisters and my home) and had no problems. I would not consider myself a fix it type guy and installation and set up was a breeze. My house has a glass door with both sides of the Schlage lock having keys. My moms is a metal door with outside key/ inside knob on a Kwikset lock. My sister has and old wood door, and a no name lock. I remember reading somewhere it seems there is a certain type lock it may not work with, but I do not remember exactly which it was.
