The only storage they will be offering will be cloud recording (similar to DropCam / NestCam) sometime in the "next few months." Knowing this company and its history with products delays and not available at this time), I wouldn't count on that feature being available too soon. HOWEVER, even when that feature does come available August will charge a monthly fee (price has yet to be announced to enable the service very similar to Nest's current strategy. Below are the current prices major video doorbell companies and home camera companies charge for cloud based recording: Skybell - $0.00 / No Charge to Customers (No mention of fee increase at this time Ring - $3/month or $30/year NestCam - $10 month or $100/year for 10-days of Video History (30-day video history cause cause to triple to $30/month or $300/year PER camera Cloud recording has always been a much hyped feature for the August Doorbell Cam so I know it will arrive eventually. If I were to venture a guess, I think August will charge more per month/year than the competing doorbell camera companies, but less that NestCam's somewhat outrages charges for providing the service. August Doorbell Cam - $5-$8/month or $50-$80/year. My decision to subscribe or not will largely depend on the video quality and the interface used to interact and view the video (on iOS, Mac/PC, Android, ect). Crossing my fingers!
