P1 usually means the unit needs to be drained of water caused from condensation. There is a drain spout on the back near the bottom that can be opened once you wheel the unit somewhere you can drain the water. The Heat mode is the “Sun” icon which is the mode all the way on the right in the modes section on this model. Hope that helps!
