What is the range null

I read somewhere just over 6 miles

Stated range is pretty far, but direct line of sight seems to be the most important distinction. I had this drone over 2000’ away and only 4’ above the water in the gulf a week ago and had perfect signal. (Try doing that with a typical FPV drone with a battery life of 3 minutes) But if you get into some trees a hundred yards away, you could very well see some signal drop.

FCC in a rural area I was out 15,000 feet with minimal signal loss.

It’s gotta be at least a 1 1/2 miles.
