Yes, we purchased one for our 12 year old and he absolutely loves it. "Best present ever" according to him.

This could be a solid beginner printer. With the ease of setup and use it could be great for them to learn the basics with but there are exposed components that’ll reach over 400°F during printing and the print bed can reach up to 160° during prints depending on settings so def be careful and use discretion.
