• A:Answer No but you might have to calibrate the filament for each brand. For example there are profiles for other brands in bambu studio like Polymaker.

• A:Answer It does not have to be connected to wi-fi but being able to transfer files and get status reports makes wi-fi worth doing. You can create/slice on your desktop, transfer to a mini-SD and place the mini-SD in the printer port. Really easy to do.

• A:Answer You can order it from Bambu separately, but you can also get the AMS 2 instead and that has a filament dryer if you buy the Power Adapter.

• A:Answer PLA and PETG are ideal in the current configuration, PVA is a horrible filament that soaks moisture like crazy, is only used for support and clogged two of my nozzles despite being dried for 10 hours. TPU is tough to print with, but it is possible as is ABS. If you want to print with better materials, get a Hardened Steel Extruder and Gears, then upgrade the machine.

• A:Answer I use some large desiccant bags in the AMS for short term, but I also invested in a commercial dryer from Creality where I keep opened spools when they are not in active use. The dryer at about $150 is well worth the money.
