Also I should add that the physical copy you can purchase comes with no disc so you would still need an internet connection to download the game

If you are asking if there is a single player mode at all then yes. The single player consists of a story mode called war stories. Fair warning is that game mode is not long and there is no single player mode with computer controlled enemies to mimic the online mode. Point being you buy this for multiplayer mainly.
