- Answer I live in NYC sounds can be overwhelming. If it’s a super loud background I feel like no headphones will work But they do an amazing job with the train, construction sites, and traffic.

- Answer Technically no. But they weren't used either. I believe the seal was broken, but the headphones weren't taken out of the box. They worked perfectly. I hope this helped.
