is protection plan offered? null

I have purchased at least a half dozen headphones and earbuds in the last several years from Best Buy and have not been offered any protection plan; so I assume that a protection plan is not offered. Apple offers AppleCare Plus for $29 for two years with a $29 deductible for up to two incidents, so not really worth it for a pair of $50 earbuds.
