• I don't believe so. Most tablets/laptops and computers have output only display ports. So mini display port can only play movies from your Samsung Tablet to a bigger TV. You can't send signal from TV or other HDMI device with HDMI port into you Samsung tablet and expect to see, transfer or record anything.

• No, this cable has a lightning end so is only compatible with IOS (apple) products.
