• Is your desktop PC HDMI port a dual path? Meaning, it will act as an input? Some connections are output only. For example. You cannot connect a firestick/Roku HDMI to any min display port on Mac or Surface and watch the source. Your desktop HDMI may only be to output to bigger monitors for mirroring or split screen. HDMI ports on TV's are usually dual path. But computer HDMI's are usually output only.
