• You pull off the eraser end of the Apple Pencil then you take the adapter that came with the Apple Pencil and one end goes on the Apple Pencil and the other goes to the end of a iPhone or ipad charging cord like the one that goes to then IPad Pro. Or for a fast charge you can take off the eraser end of the Apple Pencil and put it in the bottom of the IPad Pro.

• You can plug it into the iPad or use the adapter it came with. If you plug it into your iPad it will also pair it

• You charge it either by plugging it into a USB charger using a USB/Lightning cable and the Lightning coupler that comes with the pen, or by plugging it directly into the iPad Lightning port.

• You can charge the pencil by connecting to the charging port of the iPad or by using attachment and pencil with the wall or USB charger.

• You take off the end cap and plug it into the charge port of an iPad. Alternatively you can use the included adapter on the end of an iPad charge cable which then allows you to charge the pencil that way. (That's my preferred method. I can see snapping off the connector on the pencil the other way)
